For the last 5 years I've been studying the secrets of the menstrual cycle.
I didn't even know what I was looking for, but the narrative we hear all too often around menstruation, hormones and cycles - both from Jewish and secular perspectives - didn't ring true.
I could no longer accept that a G-d who loved me, the G-d I'd come to know through my own journey, would create any part of me that was shameful or anything less than sacred.聽
I knew the Truth existed somewhere and I was determined to find it.
I found what I was looking for in the depths of Torah and the deep mystical traditions within my Jewish heritage.
It鈥檚 the journey from ovulation to menstruation, conception to birth, and everything in between.
Our hormones, our fertility, our cycles鈥攖hey mirror the sacred dance of creation.
As women, our physical experience reflects the journey of the Shechinah. From the diminishment of Chavah and the moon, through cycles of exile and redemption, we are moving toward a time when the Feminine will be fully revealed in her highest form.
This is the work of the feminine: to reclaim, to embody, to unveil the divine within our bodies and our rhythms.
